Drop it in a bucket. Hold the button.

Rinse is a pump, not a tank. It carries no water of its own, so you bring that — a bucket at the campsite, a jug in the trunk, a lake, a barrel at the trailhead. Lower the pump in, hang the head on a tailgate or a branch, hold the power button, and the water comes up through the hose. The pump is rated IPX7 and is built to sit submerged. The intake cover lifts off, so the element behind it can be taken out and rinsed when the water you drew was less than clean.

Four steps to use the shower: close the charging port cover, join the hose to the pump and the head, lower the pump into a bucket and hold the button, then open the shower head

Two hours of water on one charge.

The battery is 6000 mAh. The manufacturer states 120–150 minutes of continuous running from full, and about 3 hours to charge. That is a long run for a shower measured in minutes — enough for a weekend of rinsing off salt, sand and dust before anyone has to think about power again. Charging is USB-C, behind a silicone cover you press shut before the pump goes near water, so a power bank or a car USB port will fill it.

Four ways to run the water.

The head turns between spray, mixed, rainfall and spray gun. Spray and rainfall are for washing a person; the narrow spray gun is for a muddy dog, a pair of boots or the back of a cooler. A switch on the handle stops the water without stopping the pump, so you can soap up and start again without losing what is in the hose. At the pump, High and Low set how hard it pushes — Low stretches a half-filled bucket further than you would expect.

Hang the head. Keep both hands.

Two mounts come in the kit. The J-hook goes over a branch, a tent pole, a roof rack or the top of a car door. The three-cup suction mount sticks to something smooth — a window, a tiled wall, the side of a van. Either one holds the head above you, so the water falls like a shower and your hands are free for the soap. Suction cups need a clean, flat, non-porous surface to grip; on rough or dusty panels, use the hook.

The screen reads the water. It does not warm it.

Say this plainly: Rinse has no heating function. The display shows the battery level in percent and the temperature of the water the pump is standing in, in degrees Celsius, so you know what you are about to step under before you do. The water arrives at whatever temperature you poured. If you want it warm, warm it first — a black jug left in the sun, or a kettle stirred into a bucket of cold. The whole body is 2.64 in / 6.7 cm across and 4.65 in / 11.8 cm tall, small enough to live in the mesh bag with the hose.

Not only for people.

A hose that runs off a bucket is useful well away from a shower. Rinse a dog before it gets back in the car, wash sand off feet and boards at the beach, clean boots, a cooler or a muddy wheel arch at the trailhead. Then coil the hose, drop everything in the mesh bag and it goes in a door pocket until the next time.

Four uses of the shower head outdoors: children rinsing a dog, a gloved hand holding the head, a woman showering in a garden and a jet of water cleaning a car wheel

FAQ

Does it heat the water?
No. Rinse has no heating function. It is a pump: the water leaves the head at the temperature it was in the bucket. The number on the display is a reading of that water, not a setting you can change. To shower warm, warm the water first.

Where does the water come from?
From you. The pump holds nothing of its own — it sits in a bucket, a jug, a water barrel or a lake and draws from there. How long a shower lasts is set by how much water you brought, not by the pump.

How long does it run, and how long does it take to charge?
The manufacturer states 120–150 minutes of continuous running from a full battery, and about 3 hours to charge over USB-C. Running on Low uses less water than High; both draw from the same battery.

What are the four water modes?
Spray, mixed, rainfall and spray gun, changed by turning the head. Rainfall is the softest, spray gun the most concentrated. The switch on the handle stops the water between modes without switching the pump off.

How do I hang the shower head?
With the J-hook over a branch, a pole or a car door, or with the three-cup suction mount on a window, a tile or another smooth, clean surface. Both are in the kit. Suction cups do not hold on rough, dusty or porous surfaces.

Can the pump go underwater, and how do I clean it?
Yes — it is rated IPX7 and is designed to sit in the water, with the charging port closed under its silicone cover. The cover over the intake comes off so the element behind it can be pulled out and rinsed, which is worth doing after drawing from a lake or a stream.

What comes in the two- and three-packs?
Two or three complete kits. Each one has its own pump, shower head, hose, mounts, cable and mesh bag, so they can be used at the same time or kept in different vehicles.

Is the water safe to drink?
No. The element at the intake is there to keep grit and sediment out of the pump, not to make water drinkable. Treat Rinse as a shower and a wash-down hose, and use water you already trust if it is going anywhere near your mouth.
