- A motor turns the brush — you guide it along the grate instead of scrubbing
- 304 stainless steel head that pulls off to soak and rinse
- Two buttons must be pressed together to start it
- Cordless and rechargeable — one, two or three brush heads
The motor does the scrubbing.
Cleaning a grate by hand is mostly elbow. Scour replaces that with a spinning cylinder of stainless steel bristles under a metal guard. Lay it on the bars, let the head turn, and walk it along the grate; the guard keeps the debris going down rather than up your sleeve. It is cordless, so it works at the grill in the yard or the one bolted to a campsite post.

Two buttons, on purpose.
A spinning wire brush should not start because something leaned on it in a drawer. Scour only starts when the trigger and the side button are pressed together. Once it is running you can let go of the side button and keep it going with the trigger alone. Let go of the trigger and it stops.

Grates, griddles and cast iron.
The stainless steel head is for bare metal that can take it: grill grates, cast iron, stainless steel, a steel griddle, an oven rack. Work on a grill that has cooled down — the tool is not made for a hot grate. On coated or enamelled surfaces, try a small patch first or use the scouring pad head from the three-head set.

The head comes off to wash.
Grease stays in a brush you cannot take apart. This one releases with the small key in the box: pull the head off, soak and rinse it, and push it back on until it seats. Wash it by hand and shake it dry. After brushing, wipe the grate with a damp cloth and check that no loose bristle has been left behind before you cook.

One head, two, or three.
Every set has the brush, a charging cable and the removal key. Choose it with one stainless steel head, with two so there is a clean spare, or with two stainless steel heads and a scouring pad head for lighter jobs and more delicate surfaces.

Not only the grill.
The same tool takes burnt-on residue off an oven rack, a baking pan, a flat-top griddle or a cast iron pan that needs re-seasoning anyway. Anywhere you would otherwise be bent over a sink with steel wool.

FAQ
How do I start it?
Press the trigger and the side button at the same time. Once the head is turning you can release the side button and hold the trigger alone. Releasing the trigger stops it.
Can I use it on a hot grill?
No. Let the grill cool first. The tool is marked as not for use on a hot grill.
What is the difference between the three sets?
The brush is the same in all three. The first has one stainless steel head, the second has two, and the third has two stainless steel heads plus a scouring pad head.
Is it safe on porcelain or enamelled grates?
Steel bristles can mark coated surfaces. Test a small area first and use light pressure, or use the scouring pad head that comes with the three-head set.
How do I clean the brush head?
Use the key in the box to release the head, pull it off, soak it in warm soapy water, rinse and shake dry, then push it back on until it seats. Wash it by hand.
Are wire bristles safe?
Any wire brush can shed a bristle as it wears. Wipe the grate with a damp cloth after brushing and look it over before you cook, and replace a head once its bristles are bent or loose.
How long does a charge last?
The manufacturer states about 150 minutes of running from the 2000 mAh battery, which it describes as ten or more cleaning sessions. We have not tested those figures. It recharges over USB Type-C with the cable in the box.
Can the handle go in water?
No. Only the removed brush head is washed. Wipe the handle with a damp cloth.
